An overture to chill

They’re on their way

As children play

A deadly act

The district mapped

While Dad’s away

Nearly there

Some shot down

Smart ones

On their way

Missiles launched

Preparing lunch

Sirens heard

Too late to pray

As children play

In the theatre of war

 

Missiles launched

Now far away 

Search their pray

As children stop

To look above

In the theatre of war

 

Missiles launched

Red sky in mourning

The coda over

No songs to sing

From children

In their garden - the theatre of war.
