The 'Skiathos Collection' was created while on holiday with my wife on the beautiful Greek Island of Skiathos. During our stay at the incredible Skiathos Palace Hotel we experienced the power of nature - Storm Daniel. The media described it as ‘The Perfect Storm'. My wife and I were there to experience it first hand. We were lucky, as the hotel 'only' suffered minor water damage throughout the three days of torrential rain, thunder and lightning. Residents and other hotels on the island experienced a nightmare as the storm devasted the infrastructure, businesses and residential properties.

Credit to the staff at the Skiathos Palace Hotel for accommodating other visitors and residents of the island during the week of our stay. Many thanks also to Jet 2 staff for keeping us in the picture and particular the Jet 2 'Mobility Assistance Staff' at the airport - a great service. A quick hello to the lady Jet 2 boss who kept us all in check and smiling at the gate 2 boarding area and to the guy and his team in charge of the mobility vehicle - brilliant service.

So instead of seven full days of relaxing in the sun we managed two days before and one day after the full force of nature hit us. Here are some of the images captured in photo, video, digital abstract art and sketches on paper I created during our stay at the Skiathos Palace. Thanks to all who kept the 'ship' afloat, including the restaurant, bar and cleaning staff.

The Perfect Storm wasn't perfect for a week in the sun, but it sure was an experience during which we met some interesting people.
